1. Open
SARAL website
2. Click on School
3. Click on MDM
4. Enter your school id and
password you use for SARAL
5. Click on Opening balance
6. Click on MDM category for
which you provide MDM
as 1-5 or 6-8 or 1-8
7. Tick on all classes for
which you provide MDM
8. Feed all the data of opening
balance separately for Primary
and Upper Primary ( figures in Kg)
9. Click on Update.
10. U will get the message as
data saved successfully.
11. Click on MDM Detailed
Attendance.
12. Fill all the information on
day to day basis.
*** Start filling all the attendance
data from 15 June even though
you give MDM or not for that day
, data should be filled.
Otherwise you will not get
MDM bills.
Sunday reffer as Local Holiday
MDM- attendance with
SMS system guidelines
Using this facility school can
send the MDM daily attendance
to the server.
This SMS is sent to Mobile
No. 9223166166
The SMS can be sent only
through the registered 5 Mobile
numbers.

SMS Content:
The content of the SMS to be
sent to the server should be in
the following format.
1) Only Primary school -
MH MDM sc 27120104502 , p1-5 200 , mc1-5 0 , pu1-5 MD , ms1-5 195
2) Only Upper Primary school -
MH MDM sc 27120104502 , p6-8 100 , mc6-8 0 ,pu6-8 MD, ms6-8 100
3) Primary with upper primary school -
MH MDM sc 27120104502 , p1-5 200 , mc1-5 0 , pu1-5 MD , ms1-5 195, p6-8 100 , mc6-8 0 ,pu6-8 MD, ms6-8 100
The explanation for the short
code is described in the
following table.
SC - School Code
School UDISE code and
it should be 11 digits.
p1-5 - Present
Number of students present
in 1st - 5th standard
mc1-5 - Meal Cooked.
This parameter is to mention
the status of meal cooked
for 1st to 5th standard.
If the meal cooked enter
0 else reason for not cooking
the meal to be sent.
The list of reason for meal
not cooked is defined as follows.
0. Meals cooked
1. Cook cum helpers absent
2. Rice and other stock finished.
3. MDM Advance grains exhaust.
4. MDM provided by Snehabojan.
5. School Picnic.
6. Local Holiday.
pu1-5 - Pulses
Pulse used for 1st to 5th standard on that day. Pulses short codes are predefined.
So the user has to send one of the following Pulses short codes.
MD- Moong Dal
TD- Toor Dal
MSD- Masoor Dal
MT- Mataki
MG- Green Moong
CH- Chavvali
HB –Harbhara Chana
VT - Vatana
ms1-5 - Meal Served.
No of students who had their meal on that day from 1st to 5th standard
p6-8 - Present.
Number of students present in 6st - 8th standard
mc6-8 - Meal Cooked
This parameter is to mention the status of meal cooked for 6st to 8th standard.
If the meal cooked enter 0 else reason for not cooking the meal to be sent.
The list of reason for meal not cooked is defined as follows.
pu6-8 - Pulses
Pulse used for 6st to 8th standard on that day.
Pulses short codes are predefined. So the user has to send one of the above Pulses short code
ms6-8 - Meal Served
Meal served for number students of upper primary standard 6 th to 8th
Reply SMS:
After sending the MDM daily attendance SMS, one of the following SMS Reply can be received by the users
Reply SMS form the system
Meaning/Reason of the Reply SMS
1. Mobile No. not authorized to send SMS, Please contact your Block Education Officer / Superintendent MDM to update your Mobile No.
If the user received this reply, then it means the Daily attendance SMS is not sent through one of the 5 registered mobile numbers.
2. Request Refused
on Date: 14-06-2016 10:01:48
SMS: MH SANCH sc 27010100102, p6-8 102, mc6-8 0, pu6-8 MD, ms6-8 104
If the user received this reply, then it means
1. Opening balance is not entered
2. The Format/Sequence of the message is wrong
3. The value might be wrong for example the number of meals served can be greater that number of students present.
3. Request Served Successfully
